Donnalea Van Vleet Goelz, PhD.

Donnalea profileDonnalea Van Vleet Goelz, PhD in Somatic Psychology, is executive director of Continuum Movement, a worldwide organization of somatic teachers, founded by Emilie Conrad-Daoud. She is also the founder and owner of Cobalt Moon Center, a center for integrative health in Neptune Beach, Florida.  She is an authorized Continuum teacher (1998), and a T’ai Chi Instructor (1990). She is a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing where she served as senior faculty, as Dean of the third year class in the US and Europe. She is also certified to be a Brennan Integration Practitioner, a graduate degree at BBSH that incorporates psychology and the human energy field. Other certifications include Object Relational Psychotherapy from Center for Intentional Living and Kabalistic Healing from the Society of Souls. She has an extensive training in Dance (Ballet, modern, African) and Technical Dance Movement of Irmgard Bartenieff and Frances Cott. She teaches workshops nationally and internationally in Continuum, Tai Chi, and healing arts. Donnalea co-teaches each Module and she directs the training program.

Teachers of the Modules

Patty Adamik was authorized as a Continuum Movement Teacher by Emilie Conrad in 2008. She brings over 25 years of experience in Body-work, movement and somatic practices including Zen Bodytherapy, Lymphatic Therapies, Tai-Chi and dance. Patty’s emphasis on connecting with nature through movement informs her teaching style. Patty Adamik has been a massage therapist since 1989 with advanced training in the structural/energetic work of Zentherapy®, Vodder Method Lymphatic Massage, Russian Medical Massage and various other modalities.

 

Kathy Benners is a member of ISMETA, with a strong background in classical dance, shiatsu massage, and Continuum. Kathy has been a follower of Continuum since 2000 and a certified teacher by Emilie Conrad since 2007. She has been offering instruction in healing and self-healing with a practice that includes dancers, joint replacement patients and stroke victims.

 

 

Teri Carter MA, RSMET, BCTMB, CC, shares 35+ years of experience in dance and mindful body practices. She is an Authorized Teacher of Continuum Movement, a Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner emphasizing embodied anatomy, a Cranial Sacral Therapist, and QiGong Instructor. Teri founded and directs SOMAfest, Somatic Movement Arts certification program, and Somatic Speaker Summit. With a Master’s in Dance she presents her work internationally, and she cherishes her experience of performing with Emilie Conrad’s Continuum Movement Theater Ensemble. Teri has a private practice in Los Angeles and teaches classes virtually and in person globally.

Olivia Gagnon RSME Experiencing such deep healing while studying with Emilie Conrad and Continuum Movement led me to become a practitioner of CranioSacral Therapy and Somatic Movement Arts.” A Registered Somatic Movement Educator with ISMETA, Continuum Movement® Teacher, and Licensed Massage Therapist (FL # MA57068), Olivia is a native of Louisiana and longtime resident of North Florida. She maintains a private practice in the Jacksonville Beaches, FL area and offers classes and workshops throughout the Southeast and online.

SarahSarah Grace has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for the past 10 years. Within her journey, she has also studied and been involved in Holistic therapies such as Homeopathy, nutrition, energy work, yoga, and meditation. Since 2005, she has been deeply immersed in the study of Continuum movement with founder Emilie Conrad, and Susan Harper of Continuum Montage. She has since become a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and has completed a Pre- & Perinatal Somatic Psychotherapy and Attachment training. As an authorized Continuum Movement Teacher and an Authorized Continuum Practitioner, she facilitates individuals to re-connect with their own innate healing wisdom through the interweaving of these disciplines.

 

Denise Gross DVM, MS, LMT is broadly trained in biological sciences, medical arts, graphic arts, and bodywork. With over 25 years experience as a practicing veterinarian, Denise brings a unique perspective into the field of movement and somatics. As an Authorized Continuum Movement Teacher and Wellsprings Continuum Practitioner, she is attempting to bridge the gap between veterinary, medical, and somatic sciences. She is particularly interested in the language of movement in animals and how that relates to people especially in the areas of pain and trauma.

 

T’mimah Ickovits, BSE is an authorized Continuum Movement (CM) teacher. She is a guest teacher for the CM teacher training program. Ordained as rabbi she teaches the next generation of clergy for Aleph Ordinations Programs. Known for her work with Kabbalah, T’mimah is a member of the Zakkai Project of Kavod v’Nichum in support of traditional, eco-conscious burial options for the Los Angeles Community. She is the founding rabbi and spiritual leader of Holistic Jew, a community in Santa Monica. T’mimah is available for one on one coaching, study and practice.

Maria (Lhamo) Karakosta-Humpich MA, RSMET, CMT, is an innovator in the field of human consciousness, holistic therapies, somatic practices and change support. After a Master of Arts in French literature and studies in education sciences, she turned to dance and fitness training. For more than 20 years, at the crossroads of eastern and western cultures, she has dedicated herself to somatic therapies, healing arts, trauma resolution (P. Levine), hypnosis, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and therapeutic yoga. In 2006, meeting Emilie Conrad and discovering Continuum Movement® opened totally new pathways for giving support to people under stress conditions and/or facing changes in their personal or professional lives. She teaches holistic massage and conducts “sacred feminine” workshops. Maria is the organizer and teacher of the European Module program, taught in Greece/Hellada, under the guidance and direction of Donnalea Goelz PhD.

 

Mark Humpich PhD in Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychosociology and Social Work of the University of Quebec in Rimouski (Canada), dedicates to change support, somatic therapies and perceptual education. He first studied mechanical engineering, biomechanics and robotics. While writing his PhD thesis, he encountered Danis Bois (PT, DO, PhD in Science of Education), the founder of a new modality for fascia therapy and somatic psychoeducation.  As a colleague of Danis Bois, he taught anatomy, tissue biomechanics, perceptual education through touch and movement awareness to health care professionals, educators and movement practitioners in France, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and the United States. From 2004 to 2011, Marc was Assistant Director of the Center for Applied Research and Studies in Perceptual Psychoeducation led by Danis Bois (www.cerap.org) and from 2009 to 2015, Associated Professor in perceptual psychoeducation at the Fernando Pessoa University (Porto). He is the author of many scientific publications. Today, he works with individuals and groups, mainly in Greece and France.  Together with Maria Karakosta-Humpich, his wife, they created The Living Body Academy® as an innovative place for learning about, through and for the living body we all are, and thus helping to unfold the unexplored possibilities bio-intelligence offers for integrative health, personal and interpersonal growth and embodiment of one’s spiritual path.

 

Sherry Pae has over 30 years of experience in teaching and the healing arts. As a registered nurse, a Certified Continuum teacher, a QiGong practitioner, a meditator, an artist, a dancer, a Craniosacral therapist, a grandmother, and a graduate and previous Dean of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, Sherry offers a vast yet grounded perspective on the nature of the body and the embodiment of spiritual awareness. Having developed and implemented several Anatomy and physiology programs based on her knowledge of energy and consciousness and the human body, she currently teaches and facilitates groups throughout the world in service of healing, personal transformation, spiritual awakening, and the purposeful evolution of global community.

Patricia Streit has been involved in exploring the art of health since her teenage years. Rock climbing was her earliest exposure, creating a strong, healthy, fluid body.  She is now a Certified Yoga Teacher, Brennan Healing Science Practitioner, Continuum Wellsprings Practitioner, and has completed her Level 1 Hakomi training. She teaches a variety of classes, workshops and retreats in movement, holistic healing and whole/raw food nutrition. Continuum Movement and Hakomi, together, are the foundation which inform all of her teaching, may it be in classes or private sessions. Both recognize the body as a self-healing, self-regulating bio-system.

 

Donald Van VleetDonald Van Vleet RSMT (1956 – 2018) was an innovator in the field of human consciousness and manual manipulation. Forging new pathways in our understanding of human anatomy and physiology, he redefined the way we think about illness, and developing strategies to bring us to an evolutionary wellness. Emilie Conrad and Don started collaborating and teaching together in the early 1990s. Each of their work influenced and informed how each saw and understood the biological world that we live in. Donald is an Advanced Rolfer, A graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, and has studied visceral osteopathic manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral, as well as Chinese organ massage with Taoist Master Mantak Chia.
