Steph McIsaac (they/he) is a New York-based medical anthropologist, movement artist, and somatic educator passionate about anti-oppressive approaches to movement, healing, and the body. Steph is an Authorized Continuum Movement Teacher, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500), contemporary dance practitioner, and is currently finishing their Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification. Steph received their PhD in Medical Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019, and later went on to teach anthropology and embodiment studies at Washington University in St. Louis and Bowdoin College. Engaged in somatic practice since 2009, Steph is passionate about co-creating spaces that celebrate the moving body as a powerful vehicle for connection, expression, and insight. Steph’s offerings are shaped by a deep reverence for expansive inquiry and creative process, as well as an ongoing dialogue of how to foster ever more inclusive, accessible movement spaces that prioritize belonging and community.
