As we move into the season of Thanksgiving, I would like to invite us into an exploration of thankfulness — not only as something we think about, but as something we can deeply feel and experience through the body.
What happens when thankfulness becomes a felt, embodied experience?
Through the breaths, sounds, movement, sensation, and open attention of Continuum Movement, we will explore how gratitude and appreciation may be experienced within our living, fluid bodies.
We will become curious about receiving. What happens when we slow down enough to receive what is already here — the breath, the support beneath us, sensation, connection, beauty, nourishment, relationship, and life itself?
Perhaps thankfulness begins, in part, with our capacity to receive.
We will explore what happens in the body when we allow ourselves to soften into receiving. How does thankfulness affect our breath, our heart, our nervous system, our relationship with ourselves, and our connection with others and with the larger living world?
In this three-week series, we will use Continuum Movement as an embodied inquiry into thankfulness — allowing breath, sound, movement, silence, and sensation to guide us into a deeper experience of gratitude, appreciation, and receiving.
