Aedan Olmstead is an authorized Continuum Movement teacher, somatic alchemist, and embodied guide whose work explores the paradoxical intelligence of the body. His practice rests on a simple conviction: that the body already knows how to return to itself — that what feels heavy can also be light, that a single breath can hold the whole sky.
Aedan entered Continuum in 2019 in the quiet aftermath of losing his mother. What began as a search for the language of grief became a discovery: that the very movement of breath, tremor, and sound he had been missing was already living inside him. He teaches from a ‘singular’ field of resource, where grief and aliveness are not opposites, but intimate companions.
His approach is grounded in sincerity, play, and the unapologetic candor of the body. He creates spaces where people can shake, laugh, weep, and land — all within the same wave. Drawing on over 1,000 hours of training in biological fluidity, trauma resolution, and the living intelligence of the moving body, his work supports the nervous system in finding its own rhythm and self-regulation.
He relishes in dance as much as he languishes in song. He enjoys board games, improv, and playing the harmonica.
He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, with an emphasis on somatic approaches to healing and relational repair. His teaching is further informed by the Neuro Affective Relational Model trauma work, Aro gTér lineage Buddhist practice, and a lifelong inquiry into what it means to be a soft animal in a hard world.
He believes the body is not a problem to be solved, but a river to explore. Aedan lives and facilitates in Boulder, Colorado.
