The Movement of Water

Event Details

  • Date:

Join us in Santa Monica to engage in the dynamic inquiry into what it is to be a human being. Donnalea Goelz, Teri Carter, and T’mimah Ickovits invite you to this unique opportunity, as we bring our Esalen workshop to in the Continuum Studio.

In deep dives we’ll consciously explore our self as an unfolding biological and planetary process. Continuum’s elegant sound and movement practices make an art form of dissolving constraint, welcoming the liberation of the entire person at every level. Made mostly of water, the play of emerging and dissolving of form is a process by which we can experience the interconnection of our own origins with the larger currents of all organismic life. Central to Continuum is the creation of health and wellness, and methods to free oneself from cultural and mechanistic constraints of modern society. Movement is the message and the way. In our time together, we will slow down and be held by the fluid practices of Continuum, opening into the wider field of awareness and consciousness from which healing emerges. The spirit of water is central to all spiritual traditions. The moving language of the inherent river of life within is revealed through waves and spirals that undulate their healing messages throughout our bodies.” This theater of life becomes the source of continuous well-being, wisdom and creative imagination.

A portion of the proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Esalen.

Bring a comfy blanket and your own lunch!
