In this workshop we’ll explore our humanity as embodied in the face. More than any other part of the body, our faces carry our habitual ways of meeting life, like masks, carrying emotions deep in the creases of our skin and etched into lines of expression — our innermost feelings find their way of being. Together the 43 muscles of the face give a felt sense of relationship between heart and brain, the primary site for the constant flow of expressing and receiving ‘the choreography of life.’ We’ll play with facial tension and release, expression and repose. There will be opportunities for dialogue and time to dive together.
“The face is the most detailed and articulated part of what we feel.”
Gary David
