The Dweller on the Threshold

Event Details

This event finished on 03 October 2022

Emilie Conrad wrote, “The dweller on the threshold. What does this mean?” In a four class series we’ll explore this question, diving into the liminal regions of edges, thresholds and boundaries. Continuum, as described by Gary David, is a way of “learning on the edge of now,” by following the intrinsic movements of the body, through dives and in daily life. Learning to pay attention to the ways we approach these often salient transitional times supports growth, individually and collectively, coming to deeper understandings of ourselves and others through lived connections with the ever-changing movements of the water’s edge.

“I have noticed many times in my life when this kind of moment occurs it seems to ‘light up’ and signal a ‘crossing.’ These moments become thresholds – invitations. I am here. Can you see me? This way. This way.” Emilie Conrad
