Serpent Symbology – Movement of Water onto Land

Emilie Conrad wrote, “Serpent symbols of antiquity represented externalization of interior processes, a unified existence, micro-macro-circularity as an undivided whole.” In a four class series we’ll explore the natural movements and cycles of the snake as a metaphor for our own growth and ways of moving through life. Like us, the snake carries its fluid origins onto land…how do we stay with a felt sense of the wet water body and integrate it with the movements of life on dry land? The symbol of the serpent represents the coming together of opposites in the uroboros, the eternal return. These are interactive classes, with each session offering opportunities for diving and dialogue.
