KYLLIKI NEUMAN

Listening in the stillness between two heartbeats
Continuum workshop with Kylliki Neuman in Tallinn
September 12 and 13, 2008

The heart has been considered a medium between spirit and matter, a seat of the soul and the source of love and courage. Both poets and spiritual traditions embrace its sacred nature. Unfortunately, in the contemporary western culture our hearts tend to be seen merely as the anatomical pumps. We ignore this part of ourselves and it responds with illness – the most deaths in western world are caused by cardiovascular diseases.

In this workshop we tend our hearts. Using Continuum breaths and sounds we explore the space in and around our hearts. We listen to its desires and allow it to speak to us in its own language, paying attention to micromovements, vibrations and different sensations.
