Donnalea Van Vleet Goelz, PhD.
Donnalea Van Vleet Goelz, PhD in Somatic Psychology, RSMT, RSME, is executive director of Continuum Movement, a worldwide organization of somatic teachers, founded by Emilie Conrad-Daoud. She is also the founder and owner of Cobalt Moon Center, a center for integrative health in Neptune Beach, Florida. A Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (2002) and Registered Somatic Movement Educator (2002), an authorized Continuum teacher (1998), and a T’ai Chi Instructor (1990). She is a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing where she served as senior faculty, as Dean of the third year class in the US and Europe. She is also certified to be a Brennan Integration Practitioner, a graduate degree at BBSH that incorporates psychology and the human energy field. Other certifications include Object Relational Psychotherapy from Center for Intentional Living and Kabalistic Healing from the Society of Souls. She has an extensive training in Dance (Ballet, modern, African) and Technical Dance Movement of Irmgard Bartenieff and Frances Cott. She teaches workshops nationally and internationally in Continuum, Tai Chi, and healing arts.
Kathy Benners is a member of ISMETA , with a strong background in classical dance, shiatsu massage, and Continuum. Kathy has been a follower of Continuum since 2000 and a certified teacher by Emilie Conrad since 2007. She has been offering instruction in healing and self-healing with a practice that includes dancers, joint replacement patients and stroke victims.
Kathy is co-teacher of Module 1.
Teri Carter MA, RSMET, BCTMB, shares 30 years of experience in dance and mindful body practices. She is an Authorized Continuum Teacher, Body-Mind Centering Practitioner emphasizing embodied anatomy, Cranial Sacral Therapist, and QiGong Instructor. Teri founded and directs SOMAfest, Somatic Movement Arts certification program, and Somatic Speaker Summit , and she serves as President of ISMETA. With a Master’s in Dance she presents her work internationally, and she cherishes her experience of performing with Emilie Conrad’s Continuum Movement Theater Ensemble. Teri has a private practice in Los Angeles and teaches classes virtually and in person globally. Teri is co-teacher of Module 4.
Denise Gross DVM, MS, LMT, RSME, RSMT is broadly trained in biological sciences, medical arts, graphic arts, and bodywork. With over 25 years experience as a practicing veterinarian Denise brings a unique perspective into the field of movement and somatics. As an Authorized Continuum Movement Teacher and Wellsprings Continuum Practitioner she is attempting to bridge the gap between veterinary, medical, and somatic sciences. She is particularly interested in the language of movement in animals and how that relates to people especially in the areas of pain and trauma. Denise is co-teacher of Module 10.
Caryn Heilman is an authorized Continuum Movement teacher mentored by Emilie Conrad for 20 years. She founded LiquidBody in 2000 after dancing for 10 years with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, to explore a Continuum-based dance approach. She accepted an MFA fellowship at the University of California, Irvine upon the condition that her movement classes be with Emilie at her studio. She is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator through the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association and a member of the Board. She is also on the SomaFest Advisory Board and has served on the Laban Notation Bureau Advisory Board. T’mimah Ickovits, BSE is an authorized Continuum Movement (CM) teacher. She is on staff for CM teacher training program. Ordained as rabbi she teaches the next generation of clergy for Aleph Ordinations Programs. Known for her work with Kabbalah, T’mimah is a member of the Zakkai Project of Kavod v’Nichum in support of traditional, eco-conscious burial options for the Los Angeles Community. She is the founding rabbi and spiritual leader of Holistic Jew, a community in Santa Monica. T’mimah is available for one on one coaching, study and practice. Barbara Karlsen is a transformational movement teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado as well as a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada. She has been teaching movement-based work for the past 25 years. In the last few years Barbara has been studying the formative dynamics of somatic organization alongside studies in Pre and Perinatal Psychology. Integrating these with her life long passion for Deep Ecology, she has developed an eco-somatic based practice for engaging with a living universe, She is currently a PhD candidate in the Transformative Studies Program at California Institute of Integral Studies where her area of research is the Body in Reciprocity with Nature and Cosmos: Biogenesis, Psychogenesis, Cosmogenesis: Towards an Integral Futurology. Barbara lives in Point Richmond and teaches Continuum in the Bay area.

Laurie Keene: School Dean of the Barbara Brennan School Europe (BBSHE) 2003-present, 1st year Dean of the Barbara Brennan School U.S.A. (BBSH) 1993-present, Former Director of BBSH 1999-2003, Core Energetics Therapist 1998-present, Graduated A Society of Souls 1995, Continuum Teacher 2010, B.S. in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College. Melanie Noblit-Gambino,BFA, MA, RSMTE, brings almost 30 years of Continuum experience to her teaching. Melanie is on Faculty at SUNY Purchase and The Harvey School, where she teaches Continuum Movement, Dance, Theater and Somatic Health and Movement Meditation practices. Melanie is excited to contribute her perspective to Module 4 from her private practice and teaching experience for over 30 years. Having assisted Emilie Conrad for over 20 years she continues her inquiry into what it means to be a moving human being, teacher, healer and artist at this very creative time on planet earth. Melanie is co-teacher of Module 4.
Sherry Pae has over 30 years of experience in teaching and the healing arts. As a registered nurse, a Certified Continuum teacher, a QiGong practitioner, a meditator, an artist, a dancer, a Craniosacral therapist, a grandmother, and a graduate and previous Dean of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, Sherry offers a vast yet grounded perspective on the nature of the body and the embodiment of spiritual awareness. Having developed and implemented several Anatomy and physiology programs based on her knowledge of energy and consciousness and the human body, she currently teaches and facilitates groups throughout the world in service of healing, personal transformation, spiritual awakening, and the purposeful evolution of global community. Sherry is co-teacher of Module 5.
Patty Adamik was authorized as a Continuum Movement Teacher by Emilie Conrad in 2008. She brings over 25 years of experience in Body-work, movement and somatic practices including Zen Bodytherapy, Lymphatic Therapies, Tai-Chi and dance. Patty’s emphasis on connecting with nature through movement informs her teaching style.
Sarah Grace has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for the past 10 years. Within her journey, she has also studied and been involved in Holistic therapies such as Homeopathy, nutrition, energy work, yoga, and meditation.
Following a severe car accident, she was led to healing modalities that focused on deeper somatic levels. Since 2005, she has been deeply immersed in the study of Continuum movement with founder Emilie Conrad, and Susan Harper of Continuum Montage. She has since become a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, and has completed a Pre- & Perinatal Somatic Psychotherapy and Attachment training.
As an authorized Continuum Movement Teacher and an Authorized Continuum Practitioner, she facilitates individuals to re-connect with their own innate healing wisdom through the interweaving of these disciplines. She has a great passion for supporting families through the birth process and loves to share Continuum with moms through pregnancy and into labor, inviting a deeper trust of the innate Health and Mystery that is our birthright.
Donald Van Vleet is an innovator in the field of human consciousness and manual manipulation. Forging new pathways in our understanding of human anatomy and physiology, he is redefining the way we think about illness, and developing strategies to bring us to an evolutionary wellness. Emilie Conrad and Don started collaborating and teaching together in the early 1990’s. Each of their work influenced and informed how each saw and understood the biological world that we live in. Donald is an Advanced Rolfer, A graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, and has studied visceral osteopathic manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral, as well as Chinese organ massage with Taoist Master Mantak Chia. Donald is guest teacher of Module 4.
