Hello to All, I have recently returned from Ohio where I delivered a keynote for the Body Mind Centering annual conference. The theme of my speech was to encourage our somatic community to think of themselves as REVOLUTIONARIES. I hope that you will find the articles listed below as interesting as I do. The article on slime mold can be seen as the innate capability of "reaching out" (think internet). The notion of "linking up" is universal as the idea of "social engagement" takes on a much broader connotation. I think it's important to understand that "reaching out" is also "reaching in". These days my teaching has been exploring the fractal movement of glial and astrocyte cells that characteristically "reach out". I would hope that you would see all of this as "fractal behavior". The article on stem cells is interesting and annoying at the same time. As I constantly say, "fooling round with petri dishes is one thing" but we can shift the time-space context within our own bodies!!! This is what I mean by our community as REVOLUTIONARIES. We have every capability of shifting our time-space by slowing down the interval of wave motion. The trough of the wave is where the information is. As many of you know I have been eliminating as many "activators" as possible (music, light, time segments) in order for our systems to slow down into cellular "fractal" time. At the moment shifting our orientation as "time bound" to a more global identity I believe is THE frontier.
